Inspirational tips

I consider myself a pretty normal person.
By educating myself I now realize there’s so much I do NOT know (yet :)). But my shutters have been opened and I’ve been triggered to learn more. Below I share some highlights with you that inspired me.

Reading books

NLP – Richard Bandler
‘Conversations’ is the title of the book that gives insights on the basic principles of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). The interviews are with Richard Bandler, the co-founder of NLP.

If you’re somewhat ‘stuck’ in life, read this book. It has plenty of good advice and tips which you can apply in your own life to make you feel better.

John E. Sarno

The basis of the Zero Pain Now program comes from the legacy of dr John E. Sarno who has written multiple books on body and back pain.

This one, The Mindbody Prescription is a good one to start with.
Already back in the eighties he discovered the real cause of body pain (pain as a diversion of rage).
Where John Sarno has discovered the real cause of pain, Zero Pain Now is taking this process further and has a proven process in which repressed emotions are being unsuppressed.

There’s also a documentary on John E Sarno; ‘All the rage’, made by Michael Galinsky. Watch the trailer here.

Watching documentaries

One of my favourite documentaries is Transendence.

Transendence is about all types of life events and how they can restrict you in your life.
It will open your shutters for sure.
Watch the trailer here.

And there are other documentaries that are interesting, like Fat, Sick and nearly Dead by Joe Cross. Watch the trailer here.

Visit a conference

In June 2019 I went to Amsterdam to see a conference/workshop with David Wolfe.

He’s an influencer and health-guru on natural food and well-being.
Such an inspirational guy. One of his tips: take (activated) charcoal to clean your intestines. Slightly awkward at first, but it does do something!
I bought his book on Superfoods: now need time to read it.

Listening to books

When you don’t have not much time to read a book, you can listen to a book.

I have a membership with Audible. Every month I select a book and via the Audible application I can listen to it on my cell phone in the car or plane, via the ipad in bed or on the couch.
The book I can recommend is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. It’s the type of book you want to listen to multiple times as every time you ‘hear’ something new.

Go to a multi-day workshop

Going to a multi-day workshop is a great way of learning actively something new and meet new and interesting people. It opens perspective and you learn to see new possibilities.

On the picture another very interesting and inspiring person: Gregg Braden. I went to his 2-day workshop in September in Amsterdam called ‘Human by design’. He’s a perfect mix between science and spirituality. His book Human by design is an absolute recommendation if you want to know more about the heart-brain coherence and the evolution theory.

How to know what to choose?

When you watch a documentary, there will be specialists that are interviewed and you know intuitively which persons are ‘triggering’ you. They say something that applies to you at that particular moment of your life. That means, DO something with that intuition and go read their book or watch their documentary or…. even better… go to an event and meet them!
I have following inspirational persons on my list to go to their events (to name a few): Joe Dispenza, Anita Moorjani, Bruce Lipton, Jim Kwik.
