My pain story

Chronic pain is terrible. I had awful pain in my back and leg for in total 6 years. Three young kids to raise. I could stand straight for about 10-15 minutes before the pain would come up.

Stabbing soaring pain.

The longer I would stand or move, the more excruciating the pain was. The 2 scans showed I had a degenerated disc at L4/L5. But in fact, they (‘the doctors’) told me, they didn’t understand my pain; it shouldn’t be that bad according to the IRM. ‘No worries madame, it will pass by’.

But it didn’t …

I had organised my life ‘around’ the pain. I could do around 15 minutes activity and then I had to make sure I could sit down somewhere.
Working behind my pc was ok.
Cooking was not ok.
Playing with my kids was not ok.
Standing was absolutely not ok.
Walking over 15mins was not ok.
Skiiing was painful.
Fitness, Yoga, Pilates was painful.





Should I learn to live with the pain?

I refused to live with the pain.

I was determined to find a solution. A lasting solution.

I tried so much, from sports like yoga, pilates, stretching, swimming (and so much more). Also various type of therapies and alternative healings such as : chiropractor, acupuncture, Quantum Healing Hypnosis Therapy (wow so interesting), massage, (do you really want the full list of everything I tried ?)… 😉
An anti-inflammatory diet (Seignalet) took away the sharp edge of the pain. But after 6 months the pain returned elsewhere in my body (knee, neck, foot).


In the meantime…

In the meanwhile I had decided to change career. As an IT consultant I was sitting long hours behind my pc. I wanted to go into well-being. In one of my courses I learned about Zero Pain Now. The book described so many stories in which I could recognize myself. But what was being described as the cause of the pain just seemed so unbelievable.

I was sooo skeptic.

It’s like if you say to somebody that one can stand on water… (ok the picture is real, not edited…. just my 70-year old aunt practicing taking pictures with her new ipad… lucky shot). But you get the picture on how skeptic I was.


Finally my real solution!

But I needed a definitive solution. It made me decide to do the full Zero Pain Now program. A process of 28 days with a book to read, videos to watch and a workbook to follow and daily support from a pain coach. This was the ultimate solution for me as it is treating the cause and not the symptoms. I know that I’m going to stay pain-free.

As I know now it IS possible to become pain-free by means of an easy and quick process, I want to save you all the time, energy and frustration that it took ME to get pain-free.
With the start of switching careers there was only one thing left for me to do: become a Certified Master Practitioner of Zero Pain Now.
